New trekking route announced at Okhaldhunga, Nepal
A new trekking route has been announced in Khizidemba Rural Municipality of Okhaldhunga. Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Sudan Kirati announced the new hiking route during a program in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
On this occasion, a documentary was released on the success of the golf game survey at Tholedemba Hill at 3350 meters in Okhaldhunga district to promote sports tourism. It is said that the documentary was released in coordination with Khizidemba Rural Municipality, Nepal Tourism Board, and the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal.
Minister Kirati announced a 3-day trek through Pokali Waterfall (130m) to Chilimdanda, Lamjebauddha, Chulithan, Gaurivan, Dobatevanjang, Khizichandeshwari, Khizifalate, Chuplubhanjang to Tholedemba 3 thousand 350 meters and a new trek from Pikey, Dudhkund Himal to Mt Everest base camp through Tholedemba.
Tourism Minister Kirati declared places like Tholedemba as tourist areas and said that he would proceed with policy and budget management to raise the country’s economic status. He also said that he would take the initiative to operate Khizichandeshwari Airport immediately.
Gambu Sherpa, chairman of the rural municipality, said that the rural municipality has taken steps to promote Khizidemba through tourism, agriculture, etc.
