India decides to ban 2000 rupee notes
According to BBC Hindi, the Central Bank of India has said it will no longer send 2000 notes to the market.
In 2016, after the Narendra Modi government banned 1000 and 500 currency notes, the Reserve Bank of India introduced 2000 currency notes.
But it has been announced that the note will no longer be in circulation within seven years.
The Reserve Bank has asked the general public to deposit the 2000 notes in the banks and not to send the 2000 notes to the market.
